I Have Decided

February 18th, 2010

That I want to learn more about photography. So far I have done pretty well. They’re not business quality photo’s but I have been finding my way around my camera, and I’m slowly getting better and learning new things.

Last night I wanted to try out the portrait feature of my camera and try to get one of those clear in the front/blurry in the back shots. So I did. And this is what I came out with…

Aren’t they cute? Those are my two newest Pinky‘s btw.

I have been taking a lot of these lately, to tell you the truth. Mainly because they’re so fucking awesome!! I just wish I knew how to do those black and white ones like I see some people do. I don’t think my camera does that. It might. I have yet to check DPS.

I also saw something on a blog that submitted an entry to WFMW. She did a little “review” on this thing called a Light Scoop. It’s a little mirror thing that you stick on your camera (where the flash is) and it sends the light from the flash to the ceiling (where it lights up the area) instead of into your subjects face so you get a nice clear shot instead of that yucky whited out shit. You can read more about it here. I wanted one. But the hubby took a look at it ’cause I think he wanted it too and uhm… it doesn’t go on my camera. :*( I was a sad panda about that.

But that’s what I think I’m gonna dabble in for a while (aside from my giveaway site). I have been wanted to get away from the internet and I think this’ll do just that. I also really need to get out and get a life. A friend of mine suggested mommy and me groups but I’m not very social. I’d rather use the alone time (since the boy is at school all day) to do something for me since after they get home, my time goes to my husband and son.

So expect more pics from me. I’ll have to get me one of those Flickr things though. We’ll see.

Yep did it all myself :D And your blog is fine :) I don’t really care what a blog looks like as long as the posts are awesome xD Trust me there’s better designers then me out there. I just like to keep things simple.

I was really into photography a couple of years ago but when my little camera broke I just lost my buzz for it. My husband has this amazing camera that can do all these fancy things but for some reason it all baffles me lol!

I think photography is a great hobby. Good luck with it :)

Very cool picture. Is that a picture of your camera? You’d think camera’s would have the flash pointing up, or at least a directional flash.

  17. Great post. Adoreable blog. Thanks for the info about the “light scoop.” My oldest starts blinking before you even take a picture with flash because it bothers here eyes. Super annoying if you want to get a cute picture. Another question…how do you say “Poupee Girl?”
