I was reading another blog I had come across earlier this morning. One post caught my eye right off. It was about how books are better then movies. Definitely intriguing.
I have to agree. I personally barely ever watch television anymore. There is never anything worth watching on (other then the occasional horror movie or documentary). So sometimes if I can pry myself away from WoW or the internet altogether, I pick up a book to read.
And for the record, I like actual books. I could never own one of those retarded Nook‘s or Kindle‘s. Ugh.
Anyway, I have a lot of movie books. Like Star Wars
(definitely better then the movies), I have one called The Final Cut
. That one was TOTALLY better then the movie. I literally finished it less then a day. Right now I’m reading a take on Alice in Wonderland. I will tell you the version I’m reading is so much better then the one we’ve heard a million times. And it’s definitely better then the movie Tim Burton made (and I have that book too).
But reading movies (or television shows eg. Trueblood) is a lot better then seeing it on the t.v. The books tend to explain more and give you a better perspective of what is going on, which in turn makes it better for us to understand. Unless it’s one of those movies/books that confuses the fuck out of us either way. I hate those.
So that’s my take on the subject, but like Levar Burton says, you don’t have to take my word for it!
I’ll see ya next time!
