There have been lots of moments in my life as a parent where my son has done or said something a little embarrassing. And I think he is starting to think of new things and ways of doing it every day. For example…
It’s really hard to get changed or dressed around my house with a five year old running here, there and everywhere. Because if he barges into the bedroom, he’ll scream “Boobies!” for a week… in front of everyone! Including my in-laws. *dies* I know you just have to ignore it and such, but ignoring doesn’t work on this kid. He’ll keep going until you tell him to shut his mouth and even then, there’s a chance it won’t stop. He repeats everything…
The other day, for example, when we were at the store, my husband pointed out and outfit that he thought I’d look good in. I protested and said that my fat ass would never fit in it (cause it was in the juniors section). So my son starts dancing and singing, “fat ass! fat ass!”, just as a heavy woman walks past us. Oh the dirty looks I got. *fallsovertwitchtwitch*
Gotta love boys though, right? My life will never be dull or boring again.
Wishing Kristin at We Are That Family a happy blogging anniversary. She’s having a carnival and giveaway for the occasion. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
